Bengal Kitten Prices in Australia: What to Expect in 2026
Australian Bengal kitten prices vary by breeder and placement. Published companion-kitten examples checked on 21 October 2026 span AUD $2,200 to starting prices of $3,600. These are named advertised examples, not a national average or an all-inclusive quote.

Bengal Kitten Prices in Australia Right Now
A useful price comparison starts with the seller, placement category and what the advertised amount actually covers. A starting price is a floor for that breeder’s stated category, not a promise that every kitten costs that amount.
Current Australian breeder price examples
| Breeder / category | Advertised AUD price | Deposit and transport | Published inclusions / GST |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nardoo Bengals Pet / premium / breeding | $2,200–$2,500 pet $2,700–$3,000 premium Breeding from $4,500 | $300 deposit. Local delivery and direct-flight terms are described separately on its page. | Vet care, desexing, microchip and pedigree listed. GST treatment not stated in the sampled pricing section. |
| Ashmiyah Bengal Cats Neutered companion kittens | From $3,600 Higher-category neuters: price on application. | $600 pre-booking deposit. Delivery offered; transport charge not specified in the sampled pricing section. | Vet care, desexing, microchip and pedigree listed. GST treatment not stated in the sampled pricing section. |
Each example includes the advertised category, price and published quote details.
This deliberately small sample contains two publicly accessible breeder pages. It is not a survey of completed sales, an endorsement, or proof of either breeder’s independent registration status. Inclusions are the breeders’ published descriptions; verify the current offer directly. Marketplace asking prices and older editorial estimates are excluded.
Pet kittens vs premium, show and breeding-rights prices
A pet placement is for companionship and normally carries no breeding rights. Wild Grace pet kittens are desexed before collection. Breeding rights are available only for selected kittens, and an approved breeding-rights kitten may leave entire.
“Premium”, “show” and “breeding quality” are seller-defined categories, not a shared national pricing standard. Ask what rights and documents the quote includes. A higher price, an unusual colour or a show prospect label does not itself establish better health or suitability.
Wild Grace Bengals pricing
Our kitten range is AUD $2,500–$3,500, with variation based on pet versus breeding-rights placement. Ask us for the individual kitten’s price, rights, expected collection date and inclusions before deciding. We do not assign an unconfirmed colour premium or imply that every placement category is currently available.
The $500 reservation deposit is deducted from the purchase price; interstate transport costs are additional.
Ask for your chosen kitten’s full written quote, including GST treatment and agreed inclusions.
What Should Be Included in a Bengal Kitten Price?
Compare the preparation, paperwork and support behind the quote. The checklist below distinguishes Wild Grace’s confirmed inclusions from extras you should ask any seller to explain.
Veterinary care and kitten preparation
| Included at Wild Grace | What you receive or confirm |
|---|---|
| Veterinary preparation | Examination and veterinary clearance; first and second vaccinations; worming and flea treatment; microchipping; desexing for pet kittens. |
| Care and identity records | Vaccination, veterinary examination, parasite-treatment and microchip/transfer records, plus desexing records where applicable. We arrange microchip registration transfer. |
| Familiar homecoming items | Familiar food, toys and a scent-bearing blanket, with current feeding information and guidance for gradual diet changes. |
| Collection timing | Kittens usually leave at around 12 weeks, after veterinary clearance. If clearance is delayed, necessary care is arranged and handover is postponed. |
Ask what vaccinations or preventive care will next be due and follow your own veterinarian’s advice after collection. The RSPCA buyer guide recommends checking care records rather than relying on a “vet checked” label alone.
Parent health screening: what the tests actually mean
Parent screening and a kitten’s veterinary examination answer different questions. Our confirmed programme includes HCM heart screening and DNA testing for PRA-b and PKDef; screening and pairing decisions follow veterinary advice and the individual cats’ results. Buyers receive a parent-testing summary. We do not claim that every breeding cat tests clear.
| Condition | Useful evidence | Limit of the result |
|---|---|---|
| PRA-b | Bengal-specific DNA results identifying each parent. | An inherited retinal condition. Clear, carrier and affected are different results; a carrier is not automatically affected. UC Davis PRA-b. |
| PK deficiency | Parent DNA results for the tested PK-def variant. | An inherited red-blood-cell condition. The two parents’ results must be considered together. UC Davis PK-def. |
| HCM | Dated heart-screening information; ask about echocardiography and the examining veterinarian. | A generic DNA panel does not clear a Bengal of all HCM. Cardiac screening reflects the heart at that examination. Cornell HCM guidance. |
Ask which parents the summary relates to, when screening occurred and what follow-up is recommended. No screening programme can promise a kitten will never develop an illness.
Pedigree, registration and breeder support
Wild Grace supplies official pedigree and registration documents, a written purchase agreement, and ongoing owner advice without a specified end date. Our written kitten health guarantee addresses congenital or hereditary conditions for the kitten’s lifetime; it provides a contribution to veterinary expenses assessed case by case, rather than automatic full reimbursement. Claims require a written veterinary diagnosis and relevant test results.
Read the agreement for the exact scope. If you can no longer keep your Bengal, contact us first so we can help find a suitable rehoming solution. This is not a guaranteed take-back arrangement.
Why Bengal Kitten Prices Vary
Across the market, different rights, preparation and quote structures can produce very different totals. These are general comparison factors; Wild Grace’s confirmed price variation is based on pet versus breeding-rights placement.
Colour and coat pattern
Brown, silver and snow Bengals can be quoted differently by individual sellers. Snow includes Seal Lynx Point, Seal Mink and Seal Sepia; rosettes and marbling describe patterns rather than a single price category. A coat label does not establish health, temperament or breeding rights. Ask why a particular kitten has that price.
Pedigree, breeder programme and breeding rights
Check the pedigree documentation, parent identities and written rights rather than treating a claimed bloodline as a quality guarantee. A companion-only contract differs from a breeding-rights placement. Confirm any restrictions, transfer charges and documents before comparing two prices.
Health testing, socialisation and preparation
The scope of documented veterinary care, screening and preparation matters more than a broad “health tested” claim. Ask how kittens are handled, what everyday experiences they encounter, their expected leaving age and which care remains due. A confident temperament is individual; no breeder can promise identical behaviour from every Bengal.
Deposit, GST, transport and other quote differences
Check whether GST applies and is already included. Separately identify transport, a travel crate, document fees or mandatory packages. An instalment toward the kitten price is not a second purchase charge. At Wild Grace, the $500 deposit comes off the agreed price; interstate transport is extra.
How to Compare Two Bengal Kitten Quotes
Start with the advertised purchase price, add only charges that are genuinely extra, and compare the same placement category. A lower entered total is not necessarily a complete offer if several fees remain unknown.
Use AUD amounts from each written quote. Enter 0 for a confirmed included item; leave an unknown amount blank. Do not add a deposit again if it is credited against the kitten price.

Compare evidence as well as the total
Beside each quote, record the parent PRA-b and PK-def evidence, cardiac-screening information, pedigree documents, written health terms, handover age, owner support and return or rehoming arrangements. A price comparison cannot replace these checks.
For Wild Grace, confirm the final purchase price and GST treatment in writing. The balance is due in full before collection or delivery. Accepted payment methods are bank transfer, PayID and PayPal; deposit and balance payments receive written confirmation.
How to Check a Bengal Breeder Before Paying a Deposit
Use identity, documents and clear terms together. A logo, appealing photograph or price alone cannot establish that an offer is genuine.
Verify registration and identity
Ask for the breeder’s name, cattery prefix, relevant association and registration identifier. Check the details independently with the organisation. Association membership, pedigree registration and government source identification serve different purposes; one should not be presented as proof of all three.
Ask for health and veterinary documents
Check that the kitten’s records identify the right animal and that parent-screening information identifies the relevant sire and dam. Ask what is summarised, what documentation can be provided and what remains due. Resolve missing or conflicting details before payment.
Use live video and review the contract
Wild Grace does not offer home visits or meet-and-greets before collection. Photos, videos and progress updates are provided, and live video calls are available by arrangement. Use these alongside independent identity and document checks. Collection in North Melbourne is by appointment.
Read the individual price, rights, deposit, cancellation, health and handover terms before reserving. If a term is unclear, ask for an explanation in writing. General buyer guidance is available in the RSPCA’s kitten and cat guide.
Warning signs before you send money
Pause if a seller avoids meaningful verification, pressures you to pay, uses copied advertisements or adds unexplained transport, customs or medical charges. Check the agreement and payment identity. Scamwatch’s pet-scam warning describes this type of fee escalation. An unusually low price is a reason to investigate, not proof of fraud.
Our $500 kitten reservation deposit
The deposit reserves a specific kitten and is deducted from the total price. Joining our future-litter waiting list is free. We acknowledge a reservation in writing with the kitten, purchase price, deposit and remaining balance.
- If you voluntarily cancel, the $500 deposit is retained. Additional purchase payments are refunded within seven days of cancellation or refund agreement.
- If we cannot supply your specifically reserved kitten for reasons outside your control, you may choose a full refund including the deposit, or transfer all payments to another suitable kitten.
- Read your written agreement before payment. Ask about the applicable refund process and timing; do not assume another breeder’s terms apply.
This summarises our standard kitten arrangement. Any separately agreed payment-transfer arrangement should be checked in its own written confirmation.
Australian Rules Bengal Buyers Should Know
Current Bengal import restriction
The Australian Government’s DAFF guidance states that Bengals have not been permitted to enter Australia since 1 March 2026. DCCEEW explains that the previous fifth-generation exception no longer applies under the Live Import List framework.
This concerns importation; it is not a statement that every Bengal already in Australia is illegal to own. Check current government advice before considering an overseas purchase.
State and local obligations vary
Check your state or territory and local council requirements for cat registration, microchipping, desexing and containment. In Victoria, individual cat sale or giveaway advertisements must display the seller’s source number and the animal’s microchip number, according to Agriculture Victoria.
Those identifiers differ from pedigree association membership. A price guide cannot establish a seller’s compliance or replace checking the individual advertisement and documents.
Government sources checked 21 October 2026. Rules can change; follow the linked current guidance.

Methodology and sources
Market examples and government guidance checked 21 October 2026. This guide samples the publicly accessible pricing sections of Nardoo and Ashmiyah, preserving category and “from” qualifiers. Published inclusions are reported as seller statements, not independently audited outcomes. No marketplace prices, completed-sale data or representative national average are claimed.
Wild Grace’s own price, care and standard reservation information comes from the confirmed breeder interview record consolidated on 20 October 2026. GST treatment needs confirmation in the individual written quote. Advertisements and rules may change after this check.
